Stereo Bluetooth Headset Buyer Questions
Today, with all the different kinds of electronic devices like MP3 players, iPhones and a number of other products, it can be difficult to keep up with all the accessories. Bluetooth is something you've probably heard of, but have no idea what it is. It is basically the new short range wireless technology that most new electronic devices have. A simple stereo Bluetooth headset can be quite difficult to buy. That is where my site comes into play. Instead of being an uninformed consumer that doesn't know what they're doing, I'm going to help you by showing you what you need to know.
Wireless is the way technology is going today and the industry standard for many years has been Bluetooth. The reason that this is so amazing is that the technology is either built right into the device or you just need a simple dongle to hook up to your computer or other device. This means that you can literally purchase a headset and have the wireless connection setup in a matter of minutes. And the best part is that this headset will work on any number of devices that have Bluetooth. You can hook it up to your computer, cell phone, MP3 player , GPS device and so on.
What is the Best Stereo Bluetooth Headset? This is a question that I've been asked an awful lot of times. Even though I think looking around and seeing what's out there to buy is probably the best move. If you just want to have the best that I currently know of then I would go with Sony headsets. From my personal experience, I haven't had any trouble with them and I would get nice quality sounds out of them. In that respect I think that they make some pretty good stereo Bluetooth headsets.
I personally own the DRBT50 and right now it has 4 stars out of 5 rating on Amazon. If you're not familiar with the rating system on that site, getting 4 stars after 100+ reviews is quite good. I think some of the big benefits that I've been seeing from these Sony headsets are the long life before charges (upwards of 17hrs) and noise cancelling technology. It's a great little headset and most of Sony products have the same features.
What is the price of a Stereo Bluetooth Headset? This can be a little hard for me to come up with an objective number here because the prices greatly depending on the size, features, charging time and a lot of different specs. I'll do my best to come up with the real price range here.
- Ear Muff Headphones: $50 - $300
- Ear Bud Headphones: $50 - $125
- Regular Headphones: $30 - $80
That is about the best way that I can sum up all the different kinds of stereo Bluetooth headsets. As you can see there are a wide range of prices. I suppose the only real advice I could give you with price is to stick with brands that are popular. You don't want to buy some knock off cheap brand. The big brands are Sony, Motorola, Samsung, etc. If you haven't heard of it, don't buy it.
What are the most important Stereo Bluetooth Headset features? This is actually a very important question to understand because if you haven't owned one of these before you probably don't understand the challenges. The most important feature for me is a long use time before charge. Nothing is more annoying than using your headset for a few hours and it needing a charge. The Sony headset I mentioned above will work for 17 straight hours, which is great.
Another important feature that you should be looking into is the distance of the wireless signal. Ideally you won't have to move over long distances while you're listening to you headset, but distance always shows power. There can be interference from other wireless signals and even from walls as you move around. A strong powerful signal that goes a long distance will allow you to avoid a lot of these problems with short distances. Obviously a range of 30 feet would be better than a range of 10 feet.
